World War II era Goose that was delivered to the Royal Canadian Air Force (as 926) in July 1940. Converted to turbine by Marshall of Cambridge using a McKinnon STC turbine kit while registered G-ASXG. Registered to Air West in April 1974, the airline cited the high cost of PT-6 engine overhaul when it converted the aircraft back to piston power in 1985 (but kept the other Mikkinon modifications). Leased to Pacific Coastal Airlines, the amphibian crashed on take-off at Rivers Inlet, BC on May 12, 1988.

Built in 1945 as Grumman JRF-5 Goose c/n B-137 BuNo 87743 for the US Navy, it was retired in 1953 and passed to the US Bureau of Land Management as N642. In the late 1960s, (conflicting dates are quoted), it was converted to turboprop power by McKinnon Enterprises of Sandy, OR., gaining the new c/n 1204.
