Taken on Charge with the US Army with s/n 51-16608 in 1953, this Retriever was transferred to the Navy in 1958 as 147595. Stored at Litchfield Park, AZ from 1962. Registered N9685Z in 1975. Donated to Pima in 1981, restored in the 1961 colours of HU-1, Atsugi Naval Air Facility, Japan and initially displayed indoors but later moved outside where it deteriorated. Restored again and returned under cover in 2020 - it now looks superb and so much better without the extensive latex glazing protection used outdoors in the unforgiving Arizona sun.

Delivered to the US Army as H-25A 51-16608. Transferred to the US Navy as HUP-3 147595. Redesignated as a UH-25C in 1962. Registered as N9685Z in 1975. To the Pima Air Museum in 1982.

Delivered to the US Army as H-21A 51-16630. Transferred to the US Navy as HUP-3 147621 in 1958. Redesignated as a UH-25C in 1962. Struck off charge in 1963. Preserved at Calgary in Canadian markings as 630. Moved to Port Alberni/Sproat Lake.

Ex US Army H-25A. Transferred from the Aerospace Museum at Calgary, Alberta. I was advised that the helicopter in the background is Sikorsky S-61L N619PA New York Airways (C/N 61427) which had a landing accident on top of the Pan Am building in New York City 16 May 1977.

Initially procured by the US Army as 51-16608. Wears the markings of HU-1 Squadron US Navy.
