At Mojave for drone conversion. Delivered to Tyndall AFB as a QF-106B on 7 September 1989 and expended when shot down by an AIM-7M on 4 March 1993. Note retention of the markings of the aircraft's last unit before retirement, the Air Defense Weapons Center (ADWC), also based at Tyndall.

First F-106 drone conversion undertaken by Tracor Flight Systems at Mojave. This aircraft was delivered as such to Tyndall AFB on 1 September 1989; it was lost on 24 July 1991 when, under remote control, it suffered dual hydraulic failure and loss of back-up flight controls.

Currently being put back together for static display at ?? Aircraft came to Flabob from Victorville during February 2022 and was one of the F-106's that was stored at El Paso.

Entered USAF service in 1959 as an F-106B. After retiring from interceptor fighter squadron duties, converted to a QF-106B drone. Survived work as a drone at Tyndall AFB, Florida. Joined the Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards AFB, California in 2004. On show as part of the Century Circle display at the Edwards AFB gate.

Built in 1959. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code FN023 in 1983. Left in 1987. Converted to QF-106B drone AD107. Shot down in 1993.

One of the few which survived its use as a drone (serial number 275). It arrived at AMARC on 23 Feb 98 and was the only B Model of the six "Red Tails". It flew at both Holloman and Tyndall and there is no record of it making any NULLO flights. 59-0158 is a former Langley bird with the 48th FIS. It also served as a trainer for the Mercury astronauts. Since 25 Feb 03 it is displayed at the AFFTC Museum, Edwards AFB CA.

The early morning sun is wonderfully illuminating this amazingly clean F-106. It is one of the few which survived its use as a drone (see my pic in April 97). It arrived at AMARC on 23 Feb 98 and was the only B Model of the six "Red Tails". It flew at both Holloman and Tyndall. 59-0158 is a former Langley bird with the 48th FIS. After its FIS service this Dart was converted to a drone and flew with the 82nd Aerial Target Squadron. It then went to AMARC with the inventory number AD282 but is now part of the Bissell Auto & Body Co. collection in St. Louis. The other Dart tail belongs to QF-106A 59-0047 and the two respective fuselages are stored on the opposite side of the yard.

Now preserved in its 329th FIS markings at (the publicly accessible) Century Circle adjacent to the West Gate at Edwards. After a long period in storage at AMARG she was acquired by the Air Force Flight Test Center Museum in 2003.
