Ex N79975 and EC-WPQ. Flew with Iberia from 1958 until transferred to Aviaco in April 1963. Sold to Spantax in October 1966 and flew with them until withdrawn in 1974. Broken up at Palma in 1978.

Operated by Seven Seas from July 1959 until repossessed in August 1961. After several operator changes it wound up in Cambodia in 1975 then disappeared.

It had last flown with Spantax (1966-1974) and was retired in 1974. Fully broken up circa 1978.

During 1955 Airwork Ltd of London operated a transatlantic freight schedule from Heathrow via Manchester to Idlewild (JFK) using chartered aircraft. N5288N wears the company titles but the initials of the owner (Transocean Airlines Oakland Airfield) on the fin band when arriving at Ringway on a westbound run.

British Eagle's Skymaster has arrived on an inclusive tour flight from Valencia and will be prepared to depart on I/T STW919 to Palma at 1000 hrs. Ex USN R5D-1 Bu39175, she served Eagle from 02.64 until 02.65. Scrapped in Zaire in 1995 after 51 years of service.

Ex US Navy R5D-1 Skymaster BuAer 39140 and USAAF C-54A 41-37286. It served many airlines worldwide and is seen here for sale yet again in 1972, eventually ending in storage in Phnom Penh Cambodia in 1975.
