Royton Air Training Corps (1855 Squadron) acquired this Meteor NF(T)14 after the type was retired from 1 Air Navigational School. From the 100 Meteor NF14 built, 14 were converted for use in training RAF Navigators. Initially at RAF Thorney Island with 2 ANS from June 1959 to early 1962, then moving to RAF Stradishall as 1 ANS until replaced by Dominie T1 in late 1965. WS726 was allocated maintenance serial 7960M in June 1967.

Built by Armstrong Whitworth at Coventry in 1954 as NF.14. Served 527 and 64 Squadrons. Converted to NF(T)14 advanced trainer and served with No.1 Air Navigation School at RAF Stradishall. Retired in 1967 on replacement by HS Dominies.

On display at the aviation museum at the former airfield of Ta' Qali.

2 ANS Thorney Island

This was the final version of the night-fighter Meteor with a better canopy and longer nose. This training example was built in 1954 at Baginton but now spends her retirement at the Newark Air Museum.

Built as a Meteor NF14 by Armstrong Whitworth in early 1954 and later modified as an NF(T)14 for use by No.1 Air Navigation School. Retired in June 1967.
