The logo is for the Southland Corporation who were the owners of the 7-11 convenience store chain. It had recently been converted from a GII to a GIIB with wider wingleted wings. Registered as N890A in 1968, N697A in 1981, N711MT in 1982, N38GL in 1987 then N24YS in 1998. Withdrawn from use at Mountain, MI in 2023.

The 6th conversion to a G2B. This aircraft unusually had two construction numbers, the usual one should have been 87 plus a very much out of synch number 775. 87 was skipped as this aircraft was needed first as a demonstrator. Delivered new as N804GA on 01 Dec 1969. To Gulf & Western Industries Inc as N13GW in Jun 1972. Converted to a GIIB on 19 Sep 1982. To N723J in Apr 1984. To N6PC in Oct 1989. To N692EB on 17 May 2001. To N165PA on 30 Sep 2008. Still current in 2024. In the background are Redcoat CL-44 G-BRED, Aer Turas CL-44 and Air Bridge Merchantman.

The first time I shot this aircraft it was a G-II. Now its a G-IIB. The 4th Gulfstream II built. Delivered to Coca-Cola as N680RW in Jun 1968. To N680RZ 30 Dec 1976. To Kuwait as 9K-ACY Jan 1977. To The Cayman Island register as VR-CAS Dec 1979. To Saudi Arabia as HZ-MPM Jul 1980. Converted to a Gulfstream II-B 29 Nov 1982. To the US as N8490P Jun 1988. To N36RR 27 Jan 1997. The Gulf IIB was modified from the Gulf II with the wider, wingleted wings and improved avionics of the Gulfstream III.
