Recently completed restoration at Hurricane Restoration Elmsett Suffolk, previously P-3351 F-AZXR, sold to new owners in Czech. Republic. Paint scheme no.310 Sdn.

Built in 1940 by Hawker Aircraft Ltd. at Kingston-on-Thames, Z2389 served with five different RAF Squadrons in 1941, including the American volunteer 71 'Eagle' Squadron at Martlesham Heath. As part of emergency war supplies for Russia, Z2389 was crated up and joined the 767 Regiment of the Red Air Force on the Kola Peninsula. On the 20th of June 1942, it was shot down. Z2389's pilot F/Lt Ivan Kalashnikov survived the forced landing. Fifty years later, Z2389 was found, and its remains arrived at Brooklands on the 14th October. Restoration took from 1999 to 2019 - now with Squadron code XR-J.

One of 40 conversion from Hurricane Mk.I to Mk.II standards by Rolls Royce. This is former Hurricane I L1658. Photo taken by my father (Algy Spurr) in WW2. Believed to be at Beirut but it is not a certainty. Hurricane is from No. 2 P.R.U. (Photographic Reconnaissance Unit) of the Royal Air Force.

Built in 1941 and one of 42 Hurricanes that were delivered to Malta in May/.June 1941. On July 4, 1941 the aircraft departed from Safi strip but the pilot had to ditch into the sea, writing off the aircraft. the reason is thought to be an engine fire. In 1993 a diver located the aircraft, at a depth of 40m just off Wied Iz-Zurrieq. In September 1995 the aircraft was salvaged and a restoration project was started.

Was delivered to the RAF as Mk 1 and crashed near Prestwick on 21 July 1940. Rebuilt as Mk IIa as DR393, the aircraft was delivered to the Soviet Air Force in May 1941, serving for about two years before crashing near Murmansk, Russia in 1943. The hulk was restored as a Mk IIc in the UK from 1992 to 1995. Now airworthy and based in Dijon, France;

This Hurricane has just recently been repainted in a different scheme than this one as BG974/RS-D. This aircraft is a salvaged hulk of an unknown Hurricane. Using parts from 5 other airframe hulks it was built into a composite static restoration.
