One of the five Fokker 27s of Air Tanzania, seen at Munich-Riem shortly after a thunderstorm. It still has the old Air Tanzania colour scheme (the new one included a blue roof top); I suppose it came in on a fuel stop on its way to the Netherlands. - The Friendship was sold to BMA as G-BMAU in 1983 and was lost in an accident during a training flight to East Midlands in 1987.

First flown as PH-FFG 24 December 1963 and delivered to East African Airways 16 January 1964. It was originally intended to carry the East African colonial registration VP-KTK, but ended on the Ugandan register as 5X-AAP. When EAAC was dissolved in 1976, the Friendship became 5H-MRO with Air Tanzania. To British Midland in October 1983. The aircraft was destroyed when it crashed at East Midlands Airport, UK during a training flight on 30 October 1989. There were no casualties. Photographer unknown
