Aero Lloyd's first Caravelle and the only one to wear the basic silver livery

Formerly with Iberia and transferred to Aviaco in May 1972. To Aero Lloyd Feb 1980 as D-ABAK. Later with Aerosucre as HK-3676X and Aerogolfo as HK-3869X. Seized by the Mexican Government Aug 1994. Transferred late 1996 to the Mexican Air Force as 10507. Reported as seen "preserved" in a car park some 75km northwest of Mexico City in 2013.

One of two impounded former Colombian Caravelles in use with the Mexican Air Force for a short time from 1996. 10507 was was a former Iberia aircraft (EC-BIF) and Aerolloyd (D-ABAK) and flown by Aerosucre (HK-3676X) and Aerogolfo (HK-3869X) in Colombia. Both were out of service and stored at Santa Lucia by February 2000 and were relocated to the Parque Aviacuatico los Manantiales near Tuxtepec to the North West of Mexico City by 2006.

Aerosucre operated a fleet DC-6s and a couple of ex-BAF Heralds, later adding Caravelles before moving on to the current mix of Boeing 727 and 737 freighters. This Caravelle, originally Iberia's EC-BIF, is seen here in its ex-Aerolloyd colours and is one of a number that went on to perform often nefarious duties down in Colombia in their twilight years. Indeed she went on to Transapel and a drug smuggling career with Aerogolfo, being seized by the Mexicans in 1994 and landing up with the Mexican AF as 10507 (stored at Santa Lucia AB but now b/u).
