A poor shot but worth uploading out of rarity interest. At this time it was stationed al Lahr, Germany, with 109 (Comm) Flight, but carries the NH code of Greenwood Station Flight (Maritime Air Command). Repainted as KG828 in October 1959 (Ref. A-B monograph p.549) then plain '828', then back to KG828 from 1961 to 1965. Re-serialled as 12948 in 1970 until sold in 1974 as C-GCXD.

Dakota built as 43-48351 for the RAF to be KJ828, it was diverted to the RCAF instead as KG828 (later 12948). Withdrawn in 1971, the aircraft was bought by Aero Trades Western / Soundair in 1976 and registered C-GCXD. Damaged in a take-off accident with Aviation Boreal on March 23 1995, the aircraft was stored Val D-Or, QC then moved to Red Deer, AB. Sold to Basler Turbo registered as N856LT in Sep 2018, it delivered by truck still painted C-GCXD.

This former RCAF Dak came to Buffalo but later on it was sold to Basler and is now registered as N856LT

Former Buffalo Airways at the Basler Turbo Conversions facility in Aviation Boréal colors and titles. Became N856LT in Sep 2018, but is still marked as C-GCXD.

The minimal repaint shows an RCAF history for this DC-3. After years of neglect at Val D'or/QC while with Aviation Boréal, she was trucked out to Red Deer, Alberta in 2014 for Buffalo Airways spares use. Then in August 2018 it was shipped to Oshkosh/WI for Basler with registration N856LT allocated.

At Basler's. Still marked as C-GCXD, but was officially registered as N856LT in Sep 2018.
