DHC-3 Otter N90575 (msn 302) was delivered new to the US Army as U-1A, 58-1692, in December 1958 and later served in Vietnam. One of two Harold Hanson bought from Stockton, CA in 1974 and restored at Boeing Field. I photographed it a couple times in 1975-1976 at Boeing Field before and after Hanson sold it to Frontier Flying Service in Alaska. In December 1976 it was on amphibious floats parked in a tight spot next to Hanson's hangar. Now flies as DHC-3T, C-GMDG, with Fort Frances Sportsmen Airways at a float base east of Ft. Originally US Army 58-1692, this Otter worked in Alaska as N90575 with Frontier Flying Service 1975 until an accident in 1979. Rebuilt, it emerged as C-GMDG in 1980 for Air Park Aviation to support mining, exploration and (during summer months) fly-in sports fishing camps. Acquired by Fort Frances Sportsmen Airways (Northern Wilderness Outfitters) in April 1985, this long serving aircraft had a Vazar turbine conversion in 1997.

Departing from Northern Wilderness Outfitters' base on Rainy Lake beside and to the north of Highway 11. Delivered new to the US Army in 1959 as 58-1692 and saw service in Vietnam. Joined Fort Frances Sportsmen Airways / Northern Wilderness Outfitters in 1984. Received a Vazar turbine conversion to PT-6A power over the winter of 1997/98. Later repainted into dark red/purple and silver colours, retaining Northern Wilderness Outfitters titles.

Just about to dock at its Northern Wilderness Outfitters base on Rainy Lake, east of Fort Frances. As 58-1692, was delivered in 1959 to the US Army, and saw service in Vietnam. Demobbed and bought for civilian use in 1974. Given a Vazar conversion to PT-6A turbine power over the winter of 1997/98.

Sold in Canada in October 1979 and became C-GMDG in June 1980 after being refurbished.
