Delivered to KLM as N4548M in 1983. Reregistered as PH-BUU in 1991. Sold as N230MR then to Phuket Air as HS-VAC in 2004. To Thai Star Airlines as HS-TSA and returned as HS-VAC in 2007. Damaged when an engine fell off during an aborted take-off at Cairo in 2010 while on lease to Saudi Arabian Airlines. Never flew again and scrapped in 2016.

Previously PH-BUU (and N4548M) with KLM, this frame was damaged beyond economical repair after an uncontained engine failure during take-off at Cairo International (Egypt) 17 Jul 2010.

After serving KLM for more than 20 years this Boeing 747 found a new home in Thailand with Phuket Air. Before the aircraft eventualy would be delivered in December of 2004 as HS-VAC it already recived its new 'colourscheme' in November of 2003. Its former KLM registration PH-BUU was taped on after it emerged from the paintshop.

Delivered to KLM in September 1983 as N4548M. Reregistered in Janaury 1991 as PH-BUU, when it also became a combi aircraft. To NYE Asset Management Company in January 2004 as N230MR. To Phuket Air in October 2004. LEased to Saudi Arabian in December 2005. Leased to Thai Star Airlines in March 2007 and again leased to Saudi Arabian between August 2007 - February 2007. Involved in an incident at Cairo on July 18, 2010, when an engine detached during an aborted take off. Stored at Cairo since, where it was eventually broken up in March 2016.

Thailand to West and North Europe, was not possible non stop, with the Boeing 747 Classic. HS-VAC was making a fuel stop at Sharjah, en route to Scandinavia. Ex KLM aircraft as N4548M and PH-BUU.

Phuket Air did not last long at AMS.

Taxiing up to the threshold of 33R is KLM's 'Sir Frank Whittle', later re-registered PH-BUU. Leased by Phuket Airlines as HS-VAC in 2004 after storage, sub-leased twice by Saudi Arabian and parked at Bangkok's old airport from 2.09; an engine detached during take-off from Cairo in July 2010 and the aircraft returned, remaining stored there.
