Built in Jun-1947 it was registered as CF-DKI. Somewhere between 1975 and 1986 the Franklin 6A8 engine was replaced by a Lycoming GO-480 (see here) and the registration changed to C-FDKI. In Aug-2000 it was exported to the USA as N6115A. In Feb-2015 this was changed to N295CB and this is still current in 2022.

This 1947 Republic RC-3 Seebee, C-FDKI was imported to Canada by Leavens Brothers Air Service in 1947. In early August 1986, it was one of 34 aircraft to participate in the Expo 86 "Flight into History" formation flypast over the Expo 86 site in downtown Vancouver. At the time it was owned by A. Ewachniuk and later remained in a black and white "orca" (killer whale) colour scheme. It was cancelled from the Canadian register in August 2000 and became N6115A.
