Although within a batch of 185E, this was registered N4513F in Dec-1965 as an A185E. It is thought that this could have been the test aircraft for the A185E version. Delivered to Canada in Feb-1966 as CF-UGV but registered as a 185E. Somewhere between 1974 and 1985 it was reregistered C-FUGV. This was cancelled in Aug-1985. Between then and Nov-2016 when it was registered N520CB its history is unknown. As both before and after Canadian service the type was listed in the USA as A185E, it is thought that the Canadian 185E type is not correct.

Accepted by the British AF as FP495 in May-1942 as a Goose Mk1A. In 1945 it went to the US Navy as 66351. In Apr-1947 it became civil as NC1200V (registered as a G-21A). In Jan-1949 it became N1200V. In Jan-1965 it went to Canada as CF-RQI. Retractable McKinnon wingtip-floats fitted in 1965. It sank in an accident 29-Sep-1972. After rebuilt it became N62121 by 1975. To ZK-ENY in Oct-1977, DQ-FDQ in Oct-1982, back to ZK-ENY in Dec-1984, becoming VH-ENY in Jan-1989 and in Oct-1990 HS-TOM. In 1995 it was sold to Germany where it is under long-time restoration in Landsberied, last noted in 2020.

Accepted by the British AF as FP495 in May-1942 as a Goose Mk1A. In 1945 it went to the US Navy as 66351. In Apr-1947 it became civil as NC1200V (registered as a G-21A). In Jan-1949 it became N1200V. In Jan-1965 it went to Canada as CF-RQI. Retractable McKinnon wingtip-floats fitted in 1965. It sank in an accident 29-Sep-1972. After rebuilt it became N62121 by 1975. To ZK-ENY in Oct-1977, DQ-FDQ in Oct-1982, back to ZK-ENY in Dec-1984, becoming VH-ENY in Jan-1989 and in Oct-1990 HS-TOM. In 1995 it was sold to Germany where it is under long-time restoration in Landsberied, last noted in 2020.

This LA-4 was originally registered as N7607L. In 1968 it went to Canada where it was registered CF-XXU. This was cancelled in Jun-1984 on return to the USA as N58249. In Jul-1986 this was changed to N19AK. On 14-Jun-1998 it crashed on take-off from a river 10 miles NE of Saint Mary's, AK after a day of fishing. The pilot was distracted by two ducks in the aircraft's flight path, and when his attention turned to the take-off again, it was too late to avoid a stand of trees. It sustained substantial damage, but the pilot was not injured. Only in Jun-2013 the registration was cancelled.
