Originally delivered to Pan American in October 1959 as N719PA "Clipper Windward", it was sold to British Midland Airways in March 1970 as G-AYBJ, but was mostly leased out by them to a whole host of mainly Asian and African carriers until withdrawn from use at East Midlands in December 1977. It was bought by Jet Power/MCA Leasing as N431MA and flown to Miami in the Spring of 1978, and again was leased out to a number of small airlines until it was withdraw from use at Sharjah, where it is believed to have been broken up in the 1990s.

Leased from British Midland. Delivered to Pan Am as N719PA in 1959. To British Midland as G-AYBJ in 1970. Leased to a number of airlines. To MCA Leasing as N431MA in 1978, Jet Power Inc. in 1980 and stored at Sharjah. Scrapped in 1988.

scan from the NK slide collection. - G-AYBJ, seen here in an old colourscheme, was the first to join the British Midland Boeing 707 fleet early in 1970, after the airline had acquired it from Pan American. It left BMA again in 1978, and was last seen at Sharjah as N431MA, where it was broken up in 1988.

Back from Kenya Airways lease, it operated for a few days with Kuwait Airways titles before returning to British Midland Airways.

Just back off lease from Kenya Airways, the aircraft was painted with BMA titles before being sold as N431MA 6th Feb 1978
