This is the last flight and landing for this old Thud as it was being delivered to the March Field Air Museum. I was very lucky to have taken this shot as I had no idea that the aircraft was being delivered on this day. Stopping by the Museum before leaving for work, I was told that they were expecting the arrival of the F-105 that afternoon! Luckily, things fell in place and I was escorted to the runway and this is the only photographic evidence that exists of this event that I know of.

This F-105D is painted in a fake serial, nobody knows why... Correct serial is 62-4383. The tailcode RM reveals it carries the markings of the 354th TFS. The picture was made when the Thunderchief was just repainted for the March JARB museum.
