Douglas DC-3, N510NR, undergoing conversion to a Basler BT-67 turboprop on the north side of Oshkosh Airport in May 1989. The BT-67 conversion includes retrofitting the aircraft with new P&WC PT6A-67R turboprop engines, lengthening the fuselage (seen here underway), strengthening the airframe, upgrading the avionics, and modifying the leading edges and wingtips. This became the 12th BT-67. It was sold to the Guatemala Air Force in 1992. In January 1990, Basler Turbine Conversions opened a new 75,000 sq ft hangar at KOSH for BT-67 conversions.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-32874 in 1943. To NC61989 in 1945, N5109 in 1949, N51091 in 1967 and N510NR in 1972. Converted by Basler to BT67 #12 then to the Guatemala Air Force as 580 in 1992. Damaged beyond repair in a landing accident at Santa Elena, Guatemala in 2003.

K25 slide scan. Owned by Basler Airlines. Built 1943 as a C-47 for USAAF. Civilanized by 1948 as an Executive aircraft in Viewmaster configuration featuring removal of cargo doors, enlarged windows and squared off wing tips. In Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources colours. Converted 1992 to BT-67 msn 012 for Fuerza Aerea Guatemalteca.

Owned by Basler. Converted to BT-67 in Jun 92 and sold to the Guatemalan Air Force Sep 92 as 580/TG-FAG. Written off Mar 2004.
