Delivered to Northwest Orient Airlines as N574 in 1957. To Sterling Airways as OY-BAV in 1964 then to Scan Church Aid in 1970 and used for relief flights. Withdrawn from use at Copenhagen in 1970 and put on the fire dump in 1971. Burnt in 1996 and remains scrapped.

Looking worse for wear at the CPH fire service's training area, this former Sterling DC-6 served as part of the Nordic churches relief operations during the Biafran War in the late 1960s where they established a joint operation called Scan Church Aid. Later this was expanded to include the German churches and Caritas' relief operation in Joint Church Aid, JCA. JCA was colloquially known as Jesus Christ Airlines by the crews. Photographer unknown

Put on the fire dump by 1972 and scrapped there in 1996. There is no date on the slide. In 1981 Sterling markings were still present and by 1986 the tail had to be supported to avoid the aircraft tipping over. So this picture dates between 1981 and 1986.
