Built under contract as USAAF 43-30709, this DC-3 was delivered to the US Navy as bu 39091 in October 1943. Struck off strength January 31, 1946, it flew in the USA until coming to Canada in 1973 to fly a short time with Nordair. Registered to Ilford Riverton Airways / Air Manitoba 1977 - 1993, the aircraft returned to the USA. Displayed at several museums as N293MW / 43-30709, it was put up for sale in 2011. Ferried to Villavicencio, Colombia in 2014 for Aerolineas Llaneras Ltda (ARALL) as HK-4971, it remains there at last report.

Reportedly exported to Colombia in 2014 and registered HK-4971 with new owner in Piso Cuarto.

Ordered by the USAAF as C-47A 43-30709. Delivered to the US Navy R4D-5 39091 in 1943. Sold as NC88756 in 1946. Reregistered as N91221 in in 1948, CF-AOH in 1972 and N293WM in 1993 and HK-4971 in 2014.

Northland Airlines and Air Manitoba merged in 1986 to become Northland Air Manitoba and their aircraft carried the full titles although in some cases the 'Northland' was in a much smaller font as seen here. In 1992 the airline rebranded purely as Air Manitoba again.

Imported in 1973 by Aklavik Flying Service and served Air Manitoba until sold to the National Warplane Museum as N293WM in February 1993. For some reason they changed their minds and sold it on to Colombia, being cancelled on 25 April 2014.

Bought from the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center (formerly the National Warplane Museum) in Elmira (NY) around 2014. They had it painted as USAAF 43-30709, which is still showing on the tail, together with its new Colombian id, HK-4971. Still being worked on at the Allas Ramp, but no reports even several years later of this ship being operational.
