Just about to touch down on Runway 31 at Prestwick. Delivered new to American Airlines in 1970 as a passenger Series 100, N9661. First freighter conversion by Boeing in 1974, entering service with Flying Tigers as N800FT. Joined Pan Am in January 1978 as N903PA and served until August 1979 before returning to Flying Tigers as N800FT. Rejoined American Airlines in 1981 with its original registration, N9661. Became N674UP with UPS in 1984. Withdrawn from use and put into storage at Roswell, NM in 2003. Broken up in 2005.

Delivered new to American Airlines as N9661 18th June 1970 and returned to Boeing for cargo conversion in Feb 1974. To Flying Tigers as N800FT 28th Aug 1974. Leased to PanAm as N903PA Jan 1978-July 1979. Flying Tigers returned it to American Airlines Cargo as N9661 2nd May 1981 and it ended up with UPS as N674UP 1st Feb 1985. It was withdrawn from use at KROW (Roswell) Sep 2002 and scrapped in 2004/2005

A perfect example of wing flex under the strain of supporting several hundred tons as this 747 climbs off 22L at ORD.

To watch several hundred tons of aircraft and load hurtle down the runway, rotate, and then lift into the sky is an awesome sight.

Delivered new to American in June 1970. Sold to Boeing in February 1974 for conversion to freighter for Flying Tigers.
