An early L-100 model, this Hercules was with ZAC Zambian Air Cargo as 9J-RBW from April 1966. Leased to Pacific Western Airlines in March 1969, the freighter was slightly damaged at Eureka, NWT in August. During repairs, it was converted to the longer L-100-20 and leased to Interior Airways / Alaska International Air as N109AK 1969 - 1974. Bought off lease by Pacific Western, it remained in the fleet until 1984 when sold to Saint Lucia Airways (J6-SLO). Registered N9205T with Tepper Aviation after September 1987, the aircraft crashed while landing at Jamba Airport , Angola on November 7, 1989.

Operated by St Lucia Airways in a revised livery (a few weeks prior to operating in Angola for UNITA). To Tepper Aviation in 1/88 as N9205T. W/O 27/Nov/89 when it crashed on landing at Jamba, Angola, with a CIA cargo of arms on board.

It can be all in the timing. I arrived too late and the shadow from the hangar spoiled the perfect shot. The aircraft was operating for Unita in Angola. It went to Tepper Aviation Jan 88 as N9205T. Crashed on landing and written off Jamba (Angola) 27 Nov 89.
