According to available information, this aircraft was built in 1941, going on to serve for the SAAF as 7458. Following a long and varied career it became a warbird in the 1990s, having registrations NX164EW/N164EW and N7458S, the later appears to be putative only. It appears the aircraft suffered substantial damage in a 2014 accident in the US. N164EW registration cancelled in 2018. Current registration status unknown.
