Delivered new to PanAm as N530PA and transferred to United Airlines 11th Feb 1986, then re-registered N140UA July 1996. Withdrawn from use KLAS (Las Vegas) March 1995 and later flown to KADM (Ardmore) where it was scrapped March 1996

This airframe was the prototype 747SP, registered N747SP, and later PanAm's N530PA before flying for United, its final operator.

The first flight of this aircraft was on July 4, 1975 as the -SP demonstrator for Boeing. Delivered to Pan Am on April 26, 1976 as N530PA (Clipper Mayflower). Delivered to United in February 1986 as N140UA. Seen stored at Las Vegas in November 1995 in basic UAL colors (without titles/logo), the registration was cancelled that same month.
