Sold in Australia as VH-UYA. Engine reliability problems resulted in the operator cancelling the lease. The aircraft was shipped back Germany in August where it became D-AREY. The photo shows it arriving in Australia at the end of its three-week delivery flight. An engine failed just before landing resulting in it swinging off the runway. D-AGEY became bogged and a tractor and manpower was used to extract it. It took about five weeks before a replacement engine arrived from Germany by sea. Photo from: Library and Archives NT
