Flown non-stop from Cairo to Cape Town in 1944 and allocated to 11th OTU, SAAF with new serial no. 5001. Transferred to 7 wing at AFS, Waterkloof, in Oct 45. SOC and offered to museum Dec 48. Displayed in standard high altitude day fighter scheme.
