This Aero Commander used to be the personal aircraft of the son of former dictator Trujillo, it had not been seen for many years. It received back its old civil registration HI-27 when it was put up as a monument at San Isidro a few years after this pictures was taken.

Seen displayed outside the officer training school at San Isidro wearing a curious mix of military and civil registration. Ex N43107B, delivered to the Cuerpo de Aviacion Militar Dominicana in 1952 as FAD1504. The aircraft later spent two periods on the civil register as HI-27 and last operated with the Fuerza Aerea Dominicana as FAD1507. Since mid 2020 it has been on display in the Parc Museu Aeronáutico at San Isidro.

Built as N4107B and delivered to the Cuerpo de Aviación Militar Dominicana as FAD1504 in December 1952. Later civilianised for a time as HI-27 with Compañía Dominicana de Aviación, it returned to the military as FAD1507 and was used as a personal transport by President Trujillo. Registered as HI-27 again in 1976 and later, once again returned to military use. Withdrawn by 2006, it is now displayed at San Isidro Air Base as FAD-HI27.
