Altair Airlines bought this Beech 99 Airliner in 1968. Bar Harbor Airlines was next to operate the aircraft from July 1977 - September 1982. Pictured new to Mesaba Airlines who were beginning to expand outside of Minnesota. Sold to Fairchild in June 1986 as Mesaba were acquiring Metros, Bar Harbour bought it the same month and re-register it N218BH. Later in Canada as C-FKCG 1990 - 2011, it was added to Aerodynamics Worldwide fleet of lease and aircraft for sale, registered N899AE. The registration was cancelled in December 2019.

Built in 1968 as N749A for Altair Airlines then, after numerous ownership changes was imported as above in 1990. Sold to Prince Edward Air in 1997 then exported as N899AE in 2011 and UK based as a paradrop aircraft. Cancelled as expired in 2019.

Beech 99s have never been a common sight in the UK. This aircraft, named The White Beech, was present at Langar for a Boogie (get together)
