Undergoing deep maintenance, using parts recovered from other airframes. The hand painted IZD on the fuselage indicates this airframe was to become C-FIZD in the Canadian register.

1975 vintage Twin Otter delivered originally to Merpati Nusantara Airlines. It was in an accident in 1984, details of which I haven't found and was sold to Ashe Aircraft Enterprises in 1990 for rebuild. Here with Ptarmigan Airways, the Twin Otter went on to be leased in Canada to several other airlines. After surviving an accident where the nose wheel was sheared off, the aircraft was damaged beyond repair when a helicopter sling broke at altitude while moving it to a repair facility.
