September/45: RCAF No.437 Squadron, Wiltshire. 16 Jun 46: Presented to Canadian Government. 26 Aug 46: TOS RCAF as KG395. Remained with RCAF until 1977. 1980: N89BF. October/87: N99FS. October/90: Used in recovery of P-38s in Greenland. By August/95 Marked as RAF aircraft in WWII.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-92606 then transferred to the RAF as KG395 in 1944. To the RCAF in 1946. Reserialled as 12919 in 1970. To N99FS in 1986. Still current on the register in 2021.

Serial number changed from KG395 in 1970 and current in 2021 as N99FS. Here a new engine has been installed and these were always filled with inhibiting oil to prevent corrosion while in storage. The first engine run after installation always produced clouds of smoke as the oil residue was burnt off.

This was the support airplane for the expedition that retrieved a P-38 from a Greenland glacier in the early 1990's. She later was repainted and took part in the 50th anniversary of D-Day. Note the ski's for landing on the glacier.
