Stored at MEB along with N220NW and a trio of 727s. At some stage the reg has been painted over to appear as N2281, but it was not officially changed as such.

Having flown for Swissair and JAT Yugoslav Airlines this DC-10 was taken over by Northwest Airlines in 1995. Northwest retired the aircraft in 2002 and sold it for part out to Charlotte Aircraft Corporation. Officially registered as N228PR this aircraft still carried its former registration N228NW.

During the war in the Balkan in the early 90s, JAT continued to operate between Belgrade and New York. In both directions the flight would make a fuel stop in Amsterdam.

Formerly HB-IHD with Swissair, YU-AMC joined JAT in May 1988. It was sold in 1993 to Electra Airlines as VR-BMP and later N228NW with Northwest.
