A truly extreme aircraft in many aspects and luckily well preserved, albeit with fake - though nicely modeled - engines and pylons. A main gear strut failure while landing at Little Rock AFB (AR) in July 1968 caused enough damage for this supersonic bomber to be permanently grounded. On display just behind the former main gate of Kelly AFB in full markings of its operational unit. The SAC Milky Way nose ribbon is overlaid with SAC's shield on the other side.

The huge fuel tank and engines of the B-58A Hustler can be appreciated in this shot. Too bad somebody decided to put two palm trees in front of this great aircraft...

On static display at Port San Antonio, a large industrial and business park built on the site of the former Kelly Air Force Base. This aircraft has been on display here at this exact same spot for more than 20 years.
