Special "Hibiscus" livery

Delivered new to Malaysia Airlines in April 1993. Painted in the special "Hibiscus" livery between July 2005 - May 2008. Withdrawn from use and stored at Kuala Lumpur (WMSA) in April 2012. Ferried to Roswell(NM) in December 2012 and partially scrapped at date of upload.

Delivered new to Malaysia Airlines as 9M-MPB 1st Apr 1993 and flew WMSA (Subang)-PHNL (Honolulu)-KROW (Roswell) 16th-17th Dec 2012 for storage and sale to AerSale as N780AS , registered 21st Dec 2012. Permanently withdrawn from use

On a wet and grey last day of 2005, this was the main target. One of the better looking special liveries to hunt for in those days. I can't believe it's been almost 15 years already.

The 'Hibiscus' special 744 is pictured accelerating down rw27R for departure home to Kuala Lumpur (KUL). This plane was delivered to the airline in April 1993 and wore this scheme between July 2005 and May 2008. It was wfu in April 2012 and stored at Kuala Lumpur Subang (SZB) before its ferry flight to ROW in December 2012, where it is now owned by AerSale as N780AS.
