Special "Hibiscus" livery

Delivered to Malaysia Airlines in October 1993 and painted in Hibiscus livery between January 2005 - April 2008. Leased to Alwafeer Air between October 2009 - September 2011 as HZ-AWA3. Withdrawn from use in December 2011. To Eaglexpress Air in August 2012. Leased to Nas Air between January - December 2013 and to Saudi Arabian between December 2013 - January 2016. Withdrawn from use and stored at Kuala Lumpur in January 2016. Broken up there in November 2021.

On a wet and grey last day of 2005, this was the main target. One of the better looking special liveries to hunt for in those days. I can't believe it's been almost 15 years already.

The 'Hibiscus' special 744 is pictured accelerating down rw27R for departure home to Kuala Lumpur (KUL). This plane was delivered to the airline in April 1993 and wore this scheme between July 2005 and May 2008. It was wfu in April 2012 and stored at Kuala Lumpur Subang (SZB) before its ferry flight to ROW in December 2012, where it is now owned by AerSale as N780AS.
