Initially established as Capricorn Flights, Ibis Air was a partner business to Executive Outcomes a private security operation involved in several African conflicts, notably Angola and Sierra Leone, operating in Angola to support the government against the forces of UNITA. Originally N1965 with American Airlines the 727 later flew with Air Malawi and Air Gabon before being sold to Trans Air Congo as TN-AFZ in April 1999. Scrapped
