Wfu in 1977 and donated to the Hungarian Air Force museum in 1980. Displayed at the Szolnoki Repüléstörténeti Kiállítóhely Museum in Hungarian Air Force colours over all the years. But now the East German emblem is visible again. I took this photo with a ladder over the wall of the closed museum. But got trouble with military police after a while.

When the Szolnok aviation museum was still at the airfield, this Delpfin has a nice camouflage scheme (in 2016, the museum was moved to a new site in the city center). The aircraft has since been repainted in a silver colour scheme.

This East German built Il-14 was delivered as 403 to the NVA with a cargo interior but without the large cargo door and seating for 24/28 passengers. It was re-registered 426 in November 1958 and used the call sign DM-VAL as neccessary. The plane was damaged after a belly landing at Schoenefeld (SXF) in August 1969 but repaired. It was finally wfu in December 1980 and flown for the last time to LHSN as gift to this (Hungarian AF) museum, where it was preserved in these fake colours. Alas, after the museum's closure its fate is rather bleak.

This Viggen was TOC by the Flygvapnet around 1982. In 1993 it then became the prototype for the conversion to JA-37D standard. This was an avionics and software upgrade of the older JA 37 version carried out between 1993 and 1998, of which some 35 airframes were modified. This is the site of the old Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum. Most of the collection has now moved to premises in the city centre, under the new name of RepTár Szolnoki Repülőmúzeum. Unfortunately at the new site there is not enough space for the larger, airliner exhibits such as an Il-18 (HA-MOE), this Tu-134 and the An-24 (907) with the tail visible and others. These wonderful, historic old aeroplanes now face a very uncertain fate.
