After World War II, this Spitfire did gate guard duties at several RAF stations in the UK until sold in 1964 to the Air Museum Of Calgary, Canada. After six years of storage, a long restoration was begun, but the aircraft was moved back to the UK before it took to the air again in 1996. It joined the Flying Heritage Collection in 1999 registered N614VC. The aircraft is registered to Vulcan Warbirds, part of the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum organization.

Any genuine Fw 190 is rare and a Longnose-Dora even more so. The fact that this happens to be the only surviving Fw 190D-13 makes no real difference I'd say, but this claim to fame was given as the reason why the aircraft was not being flown.

This 1943 Zero has been converted to a two-seater during its restoration to airworthy status with an R-1830 engine. Whilst the second seat helps to earn the warbird's upkeep I suppose, I understand it does represent a wartime field modification to reconnaissance aircraft. An A6M-2K two-seat trainer variant also existed.

Manned variant of the Fi 103, better known as the V-1, intended for suicide attacks. There was talk of a slight chance of bailing out while diving at the target, but even the odds of clearing the jet intake were thought to be minimal. Code-named Reichenberg after the annexed Czech town of Liberec, the Fi 103R scheme was aborted as many German senior officers didn't believe in suicide missions. However, some 175 examples were built and this one is apparently real.
