This is the original, full-scale factory engineering mock-up of the OV-10A that was made in Columbus, Ohio and was acquired in pieces by the FWAM in 2001 from a collector in California. Apart from the very short, 30-foot wingspan, the most obvious difference between this mock-up and the production aircraft is that the sponsons are parallel to the wing instead of downward sloping.

Helipro Corp. of Bellingham, WA and Langley, BC modify several Sikorsky S-61Ns and S-61Ls by removing a 50-inch section of the front cabin to provide a 10% improvement in speed, payload and range. The conversion received a Canadian STC and was named the "Shortsky" until Sikorsky objected, so renamed the "S-61 Short". Customers included heli-logging operators VIH, CHC, HTS and Hayes. N92111 was the first "offshore" S-61N Short. It first flew at Langley on Feb. 12, 1999 and displayed at Heli-Expo 1999 in Dallas, TX. This Iskra was Taken on Charge with the Sily Powietrzne Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej (Polish AF) as '524'. It was exported to the USA and in August 1992 it was issued a CofA as N524SH and the following January it became part of the Cavanaugh Flight Museum at Addison (as '0524', not its authentic military serial of '524').
