Built in 1986 and on 10 October 2001, while operating with PenAir, it was destroyed in a post take-off crash from Dillingham/AK caused by ice contamination of the airframe. Although carrying Simo Air titles, this one did not make it onto the Canadian register so may have been on lease. Simo Air operated between 1990 and 1999 with six Caravans plus about 20 other (many twin) aircraft and was based at Windsor/ON.

The first DHC-8 commercially operated anywhere in the world and it was with Norontair from new until the airline closed in 1996. Subsequently sold as P2-MCG and still active in 2022 in PNG as a freighter.

Delivered to the US Coast Guard in 1954 as an HO4S-3G and imported in 1984 as an S-55B. Here in use for spraying trees for spruce bud worm while registered to Zimmer Air Services. Withdrawn and cancelled on 8 September 1987.

Seen here with its stable-mate is a Polish made Dromader spray plane on the spruce bud worm campaign. These things were all the rage in the 1980s but fell out of favor later on. They only have a 6000 hour airframe life (extendable to 10K with conditions) which may be the reason.

Imported new in 1977 and here registered to Agric Air of Ste-Cecile-De-Milton/QC. In April 1993 it was exported as N7016Y and current in 2021.

The aircraft was registered to Rog-Air Ltd. and operated for Frontier Air Service from Kapuskasing, Ontario, with their titles. Spent some time on the Spanish register after this and in 2021 N47FL with Preferred Airparts.
