Complex composite restoration based around the fuselage of P-40N 42-106101 (c/n 29863). Delivered to RAAF 80 Sqn as A29-556. Damaged beyond repair in a ground collision May 14th 1944. Along with parts from other P-40's a composite airframe was completed in the USA in 1992. On transfer to the RAF Museum it was allocated maintenance serial 9150M.

Inside one of the workshops at the now-closed No.1 School of Technical Training, RAF Halton. It's the only Hunter I can remember seeing with the 112 Squadron Sharksmouth markings! Don't be confused by the box marked WT746, that's for the adjacent aircraft.
