Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 133 "Dagons" operated out of NAS Alameda (CA). This A-4F was delivered to the US Navy in 1967 and assigned to VA-93. It then served VA-23, -144, and 127 before it was transferred to VMA-214 within the USMC in 1970. It returned to the USN in 1973 and was transferred again to the USMC with VMA-133 from 1975. It remained with VMA-133 until it was retired and preserved at Arlington (VA) from 1990.

Built new in 1967 as a TA-4F and converted to a TA-4J in September 1970. This TA-4J was assigned to VMA-133 from 1975 through early 1980. The rest of its assignments were with VA-127, VA-125, and various advanced training command squadrons. Retired to AMARC 0n 5 September 1991.

VMA-133 was a USMC reserve squadron based at NAS Alameda. Known as the "Bay Area Golden Gaters", the squadron was disestablished in 1992 when the base closed. This a/c was at the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at MCAS Miramar. The museum closed in March 2021 and the current location of 154204 is unavailable.

Aircraft is ex AMARC (code 3A441 carried on the rear fuselage) and on movement to Marana Regional was was held in store for possible future restoration.
