Possibly the most rare a/c in the RoKAF. This An-2, one of some 12 of the RoKAF, belongs to the Seongmu airforce academy. The An-2 is a defector from North Korea (DPRK). The RoKAF adopted the type as an adversary aircraft. Should a conflict break out on the Korean peninsula, it is expected that huge number of DPRK An-2s would swarm into South Korean airspace and deliver special forces troops directed against key targets. It is also expected that unmanned An-2s would enter South Korea, to saturate South Korean air defence. With the An-2s the RoKAF trains how best to defend against these a/c

While approaching homebase Seongnam (Seoul air base), this VIP Black Hawk decided last minute to turn straight over the camera. So not the best click, but still a fine VH-60P. The S-70A-22 used Sikorsky test registration N7268M before it was delivered to the RoKAF as VH-60P 01595. The registration N7268M was cancelled from US register on 24 May 1993, so most probably the Black Hawk was soon after that date delivered to South Korea.
