One of a few Elbeflug Noratlases which didn't get scrapped but left BSL as N65171 and sold to Rwanda as 9XR-KD. Ex GB+111, YA+111 and 52+64 of the Luftwaffe. Photographer unknown

Elbeflug obtained some 13 surplus Noratlas transports in 1970 after the WGAF fleet was withdrawn, with the intention of carrying goods and fresh produce into remote airstrips. But after massive corporate fraud was uncovered, they never went into service. This survivor was formerly 52+56. Difficult to photograph on the sunny side due to proximity of thick boundary vegetation
