This C-45 was TOC by the USAAF around 1944 with the serial 44-47139. After WWII it entered onto the civilian register and flew until 10th June 1965 as it suffered substantial damage at Reynolds Airport, Jackson, MI. when the aircraft nosed over during the landing rollout. The frame is now on display at the Heritage In Flight Museum at Logan County.

After being TOC by the USN, this F-4 was retained by McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis as an F-4B air frame test aircraft becoming the first aircraft to fire a Phoenix missile. On 11th December 1964 it was damaged and w/o in a deck accident on USS FD Roosevelt, therefore transferred to the Air Training Command at Chanute AFB, IL., assigned as ground trainer and redesignated as GF-4B. Now on display at the Heritage In Flight Museum in false USAF markings.
