March/71: Confederate Air Force with c/n N4249. Restored to ferry. August/71: Ferried to Harlingen, TX. By 1978: Restored using parts from three other B-29s. August/81: Re-registered as N529B. 1983: Used in the movie, "The Right Stuff" as the mother ship. 2006-2010: Full overhaul and new engines.

Ca.1968: TOS USN. February/74: Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (Blue Angels). 13 July 1985: Collided with another Blue Angel plane over NAS Niagara. The other pilot was killed but the pilot of this aircraft ejected safely.
