Built to a USAAF order as P-51D-20NT 44-13016 but allocated to the RAAF as A68-674: BOC 4 July 45, SOC 22 December 48. Fuselage ended up at Pearce Dunn's museum, Mildura 1966-82. Restored in the USA, first flight as N9002N in 1992. Re-registered as N5551D in 1997 and painted in current markings. Exported to New Zealand in 2004 as ZK-SAS. Acquired by Doug Hamilton and re-registered in Australia as VH-LUI(5) in 2022. Marked as 44-73060/LH-X 'Dove of Peace', a USAAF P-51D flown by WWII US fighter ace Col. Glen Duncan.
