Originally built as a C-47A-20-DK, serial 42-93008. Served with the RAAF as A65-45, callsign 'VHCIB'. Acquired by Qantas in December 1946, registered VH-EAK(1). Seen here at an unknown location in New Guinea probably late 1940s. Sold to the Royal Thai Air Force in October 1953, becoming L2-13/96. Crashed in January 1980. This photo was added on 14 October 2020, and has since been viewed 333 times. |
