Delivered to the US Navy as R6D-1 128427 in 1952. Fitted with a VIP kit for use as the Commandant Of the Marine Corps personal aircraft. Redesignated as a VC-118B in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 8C026 in 1982. Sold as N427D in 1986. To MCAS Cherry Point in 1992 and stored for a proposed museum which never happened.
