Built 1953 as a CV-240 as N73128 for United Airlines. 1960 N5120 rr and converted to CV-340-31by general Motors Corporation. Later converted to CV-580, and became HR-SAX, N9012J, N770PR and C-GKFT. May 15th 1986 LN-PAA for PartnAir, as the 3rd CV-580 in the fleet. Written off in a terrible accident September 8th 1989 in Skagerak, the aircraft had been leased by a Norwegian shipping company: Wilhelmsen for a trip to Hamburg, and all people aboard were killed in the accident.
