Buttonville based Toronto Airways was a well established pilot training and charter business when it started regional scheduled service circa 1979. Several Beech 99 airliners were bought and operated as Torontair. This 1975 Beech 99 arrived from Rio Airways in March 1981. Torontair assets were purchased by Austin Airways in June 1986 who were themselves merged into Air Ontario in August 1987. The aircraft moved on to Bearskin Airways in December 1988. It was sold and exported to the USA as N192WA in January 1999 for Piper East / Wiggens Airways. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
