Former US Navy 92433 was acquired by Frank Tallman / Movieland of the Air Museum in 1959 and registered N3440G. By 1970 the aircraft was displayed at the Flying Tiger Air museum, Paris, TX. After flying in the TV show "Baa Baa Black Sheep" 1976 - 78, the fighter was heavily damaged / destroyed in hangar fire in 1979 at Addison, TX. Parts and data plate were combined with parts from FG-1D BuNo 92471 acquired from Guatemala in 1970. Work to rebuilt the two into one started circa 1990. Assuming the identity of 92433, the aircraft was registered N773RD and flew again in 2000. This photo is copyright © Gary Vincent, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
